Starting Online Store? Or even started thinking about it? It’s kind of awesome – Do you know why? Well, if you are in US, then you might be going into the industry which is going to make more than $300 billion in 2013 and certainly more than that in 2014.
If you just thought, what I’m saying! You might have missed my previous article on E-commerce and Online Selling which shows few facts and figures about United States E-commerce industry’s growth and expansion.
Online marketing tactics, Social Media campaigns, Facebook and Google Advertising, Content Marketing and even direct advertisement lead to sell something – why we always want to sell something?
I’m not saying, don’t sell it – Obviously you need to sell something (product, service or value) to make your wallet filled with bucks.
So, did you get my point, I meant ‘Sell’ don’t ‘Just Sell’
You might be planning for starting your e-commerce store, I would certainly appreciate your Entrepreneurial spirit and strategy – you definitely start your e-store, before that I would like to tell you something I was thinking and it made my day actually – The curiosity of making an e-store successful’ just made me mad and three-cup tea doze within 7 hours actually helped me.
Finally I thought I have an idea to share, and the best way to spill it over would be to make a blog post for my readers regarding Success of E-commerce website…
Your online store or E-commerce website can’t get success if you aren’t making something cool and unique thing for your sellers – Imagine why someone would come to your website, if they don’t know you or they haven’t heard of you.
Then how you’ll make them stunned and surprised with your offering? Obviously you need to make an amazing offer on your online store to make public (visitors) surprised with happiness – it can be a discount deal – it can be a FREE giveaway for limited time offer – It can be a Buy-One-Get-One-Free offer.
Don’t be shy to try out great offers and discounts – Customers love amazing offers and they want from merchant to make discount offers.
Surprise and Motivation: Customers need happiness and joy – Why?
One thing is clarified – you need to impress your customers with your strategies, planning and offerings – If you are new in the market (As you are going to be as an Online Seller), and when you start selling online, you launch you official e-store blog, you make updates and months keep on passing – Later on you start getting worried about Sales and Conversion!
There are two problems to be seen in this type of situation:
Number of visitors
You have to see and analyze, are you getting visitors or not? Why will you not get visitors? You might never get visitors because you are not delivering the information and description of your products and services in details – You need to shout on the web space and social media – you have to win hearts and trust of audience.
Prove your capacity, talent and sincerity for them (customers). Blog will be an amazing way to take a start in this situation and keep on engaging your audience through social media profiles and your official company’s blog.
Ratio of conversion
If there is an issue of conversion, suppose you are getting reasonable no. of visitors and page views every month, but there are no conversions – It means you are getting visiting, but not customers.
The best way to proceed towards solution is that try to do three things:
1 – Focus on your target audience
2 – Develop relations with your relevant audience
3 – Give Customers (target audience) solutions for their problems

Customer engagement will be required in this situation when you need to win hearts and increase your conversion rate – Firstly make sure you have right products to sell according to your audience – If you are selling cycles and targeting cycle buyers to guide them about benefits of bicycling, health benefits of cycling, bicycles buying and other things helpful to start bicycling for exercise and health, and you are working Affiliate program of cars, then how it is going to work?
Curiosity: Make people enthusiastic about your product
Your success depends on selling – Right?
You need to be confident on your product (Make sure you have an amazing offer to make, means you are absolutely ready to rock n roll) and you have to see that what is so special about your product and offer?
Don’t worry! Just think once as a customer, ask yourself about your product/offer – Why you should buy this? What is it? Is it giving something special? Is it having something which never existed before? Are you getting something which even Microsoft, Apple, Best Buy or Amazon can’t give you right away?
If yes, then go ahead and just move ahead with your plans!
Making something extraordinary and tasteful would give you an edge of ‘Customer’s try’ – Even customer doesn’t buy it, if customer comes to try and start trying it, you are not making money on this, don’t worry, you will!
Just keep on customers trying your product for free – The benefit of trials would be that you are getting an identity in the market – More and more people start knowing your product and brand – Brand recognition is a big advantage and purpose in Marketing.
How to make your offer?
Offer making becomes so important when it comes to tend people to try your product to buy – You want customers to buy your product – Customers want to pay for the best product – So you can’t force a customer to buy your product, you can just make your product amazing that he (Customer) doesn’t even think to leave without buying.
Trial edition without paying a penny is a good strategy of today’s e-commerce selling strategies, especially in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) business, e-commerce platforms, and other online services.
You need to make your product’s appearance so catchy and glittering that customer gets attracted, it’s a first step to engage the customer for selling any product and service – After that your offer and price will matter.
Customer will analyze in mind that, Should he pay this amount for this thing or not? If your product has an amazing and outstanding offer, he won’t try to leave without buying it.

Recently Namecheap announced a huge offer and named it ‘Fall Sale’. It was actually 50% off on all Web hosting packages and 50% off for three months on all dedicated hosting servers. It turned out to be quite interesting news for Bloggers, Webmasters and Companies who need to buy their web hosting accounts or someone who needs an extra web hosting account as a backup web host.

You need to pick or make things which become prominent and shinny for audience – They run towards you, and don’t leave your selling point without buying it.
